Abstract
► Label-free Raman spectroscopy measurements of stem cells were conducted during differentiation. ► Stem cells are maintained in physiological conditions within micro-bioreactors. ► Bands assigned to nucleic acids, proteins, lipids and carbohydrates can be detected. ► The abundance of cardiomyocytes within embryoid bodies can be assessed. ► This technique is suitable for monitoring stem cell bioprocesses.
