Abstract
⺠Most hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) remain quiescent. ⺠Quiescence in HSCs is tightly regulated by many cell-cycle regulators. ⺠In most cases, ablation of such regulators in mouse HSCs results in loss of stemness. ⺠Future studies are required to translate the mouse knowledge to the clinical setting.
