Abstract
⺠CD10 is a type II membrane glycoprotein exhibiting neutral endopeptidase activity. ⺠Removal of only a small part of N-glycans caused entire loss of the activity. ⺠CD10 lacking an N-glycan at Asn628 did not exhibit the activity. ⺠CD10 lacking an N-glycan at Asn628 was not expressed by the transfectants. ⺠An N-glycan at Asn628 is essential both for surface expression and NEP activities.
