Abstract

âº Plant PNGase orthologue (AtPNG1) acts as a PNGase in yeast, facilitating ERAD. âº A catalytic mutant of AtPNG1 stabilises glycosylated ERAD substrates. âº Non-glycosylated ERAD substrate is degraded in an AtPNG1-independent manner. âº Binding between mutant AtPNG1 and the N-glycans on the ERAD substrate is observed.
