Abstract
⺠Tubulin Polymerization Promoting Protein/p25 occurs in monomeric and dimeric forms. ⺠The binding of GTP shifts the equilibrium towards the oligomerization of the protein. ⺠Mathematical model was elaborated to characterize the multiple equilibrium system. ⺠The dimeric form has higher tubulin polymerization promoting potency. ⺠The dimer may play a role in the fine tuning of microtubule assembly in vivo.
