Abstract
⺠Reduced AGEF-1 levels in C. elegans results in Cup and lysosomal enlargement in CC. ⺠ARL-8 functions upstream of AGEF-1 in lysosomes but downstream in uptake. ⺠AGEF-1 may function in lysosomes independent of its ARF exchange activity. ⺠ARF-1 and ARF-3 are candidate proteins as AGEF-1 substrates for the Cup defect.
