Abstract

âº Trypanosoma rangeli expresses a Na+:Pi cotransporter. âº TrENA Na+-ATPase is responsible for the Na+ gradient required by Pi transport. âº Low Pi stimulates Pi uptake allowing its acquisition during parasite development.
