Abstract
⺠Mitochondrial dysfunction-generated ROS promotes gastric cancer cell migration. ⺠Mitochondrial dysfunction-generated ROS increases β5-integrin protein expression. ⺠β5-integrin upregulation is required for the enhanced migration. ⺠Migratory cells exhibit mitochondrial dysfunction and high β5-integrin expression. ⺠Gastric cancers with higher β5-integrin expression show more aggressive behavior.
