Abstract
⺠Death receptor-mediated and mitochondria-mediated pathways as modes of apoptosis. ⺠Distinct GSH redox pools exist in subcellular organelles within cells. ⺠Disrupted cellular GSH balance contributes to activation of the apoptotic cascade. ⺠Formation of S-glutathiolated proteins is important in apoptotic signaling.
