Abstract
⺠MCPIP1 acts as an RNase regulating stability of transcripts coding for IL-1β, IL-6, IL-12 but also affecting miRNA synthesis. ⺠It functions also as a negative regulator of transcription factors NF-κB and AP-1. ⺠In vivo studies on mice indicate MCPIP1 as an important regulator of inflammatory response.
