Abstract
⺠Low electric field (LEF) is involved in biological processes affecting EGFR signaling. ⺠Ligand-independent EGFR activation with subsequent downstream signaling is induced following cell exposure to LEF. ⺠LEF exert its effects via electrochemical reactions, mostly pH decrease. ⺠Short exposure to LEF or low pH may significantly affect cell processes and lay down a basis for therapeutic treatments.
