Abstract
► Microtubule (MT) dynamic instability was followed using the PlusTipTracker software. ► Nek7 kinase downregulation or absence reduces MT growth and shrinkage speeds. ► Nek7 downregulation reduces the relative time spent in shrinkage and MT dynamicity. ► Ectopic overexpression of Nek7 yields inverse dynamic characteristics. ► Our results provide a mechanistic explanation for Nek7 impact on mitosis and cancer.
