Abstract
⺠Normal cells made death-resistant after exposure to Cr(VI) ⺠Resistant cells retain Bcl-2 expression and show no caspase 3 cleavage after Cr(VI) ⺠Resistant cells do not undergo mitochondrial-mediated apoptosis after Cr(VI) exposure ⺠Resistant cells exhibit less basal mtDNA damage ⺠Mitochondrial dysregulation may be indicative of early stage carcinogenesis
