⺠Lack of Sir2 affects positively acetate metabolism. ⺠Chronologically aging sir2Πcells avoid extracellular acetic acid accumulation. ⺠SIR2 inactivation favors growth on ethanol and acetate. ⺠Lack of Sir2 increases gluconeogenesis.
