Abstract
⺠NGAL knockdown evidently decreases MMPs expression and cell metastasis. ⺠C/EBP ζ overexpression significantly prevents cell metastasis. ⺠C/EBP ζ overexpression induces a strong decrease in NGAL and MMPs expression. ⺠C/EBP ζ directly represses the human NGAL gene promoter activity. ⺠NHE1 inhibition reduces cell metastasis via C/EBP ζ-mediated NGAL downregulation.
