Abstract
⺠Histidine-rich protein Hpn from Helicobacter pylori forms amyloid-like fibrils in vitro. ⺠Hpn fibrils inhibit the proliferation of gastric epithelial AGS cells. ⺠Hpn fibrils induce cell arrest in the G2/M phase. ⺠Hpn fibrils disrupt mitochondrial bioenergetics.
