Abstract
⺠KLK7 and MMP-9 are expressed in pancreatic, breast, cervical, and ovarian cancers. ⺠KLK7 cleaves proMMP-9 to produce a unique truncated, active gelatinase. ⺠Active MMP-9 lacking the hemopexin domains may have altered substrate specificities.
