Abstract
⺠The expression of aggrecanases in normal and cancerous larynx was investigated. ⺠ADAMTS-4/aggrecanase-1 predominated in normal larynx. âºÂ ADAMTS-5/aggrecanase-2 was the main aggrecanase in laryngeal carcinoma. ⺠Carcinoma cells highly expressed ADAMTS-5/aggrecanase-2, but not ADAMTS-4/aggrecanase-1. ⺠ADAMTS-5/aggrecanase-2 could be a potential target for laryngeal carcinoma treatment.
