Abstract
⺠Some IQ-motif peptides derived from IQGAP2 and IQGAP3 have antimicrobial activity. ⺠In general, these peptides have low haemolytic activity. ⺠Those peptides with antimicrobial activity tend to bind to LPS. ⺠Some of the peptides permeabilise the bacterial membrane. ⺠IQ-motifs may provide a rich source for the design of novel antimicrobial peptides.
