Abstract
⺠BEL was the most powerful inhibitor of iPLA2 among the different molecules tested. ⺠The retina was more susceptible than the brain to iPLA2 inhibition by BEL. ⺠Intraperitoneal injection of BEL in mice inhibited retinal iPLA2 activity by 50%. ⺠Repeated treatments with BEL in mice maintained such an inhibition over seven days.
