Abstract
⺠Long-sarafotoxins from snake venoms form a new family of endothelin-like compounds. ⺠They display different C-terminus extensions that follow the invariant Trp21. ⺠They have conserved core 3-D structures with variable C-terminus conformations. ⺠Extensions determine their affinity and selectivity towards endothelin-receptors. ⺠C-terminus extensions are crucial in their various pharmacological profiles.
