Abstract
⺠We purified one of the major hemorrhagic factors, VaH3, from Vipera ammodytes ammodytes venom. ⺠We cloned and sequenced the full-length cDNA of VaH3. ⺠VaH3 is the first V. a. ammodytes SVMP to be fully sequenced. ⺠VaH3 degrades basal membrane, extracellular matrix and plasma proteins. ⺠A three-dimensional model of VaH3 provided an instrument to study mammalian ADAM/ADAMTS.
