Abstract
⺠We developed a system of four skin cell lines with increasing tumorigenic potentials. ⺠Glycolysis (BEC and Gal/Glu indexes measured) increased gradually with tumorigenicity. ⺠OXPHOS expression and activity and mitochondrial ATP synthesis were unchanged. ⺠Higher ROS levels (threefold) were found as an early event during tumor progression. ⺠The cell model presented is a suitable tool to investigate metabolic reprogramming.
