Abstract
⺠Misfolded multi-transmembrane (MTM) proteins trigger clearance of yeast prions. ⺠Excess MTM protein induces HSR, but not UPR, and abnormally accumulates in the ER. ⺠The get3Πdeletion mutant disables the prion clearance. ⺠The GET pathway might be involved in quality control of MTM proteins and prions.
