Abstract
⺠Methionine deprivation induces both the amino acid response and the antioxidant response. ⺠HSF1 is inactivated upon methionine deprivation. ⺠Methionine starvation results in an HSF1-independent increase in HSPA1A and DNAJB1 mRNA levels. ⺠Activation of NRF2 results in increased HSPA1A mRNA levels.
