Abstract
⺠In A7r5 cells, oxysterols ablate Ca2+ responses to hormones. ⺠This is due to effects on release of Ca2+ from internal stores. ⺠Oxysterols downregulate IP3R1 and ryanodine receptor proteins. ⺠IP3R1 downregulation by 7β-hydroxycholesterol is concentration and time dependent. âºÂ IP3R1 downregulation involves proteosomal proteolysis.
