Abstract
⺠Lipophosphoramidate amphiphiles constitute a family of synthetic vectors efficient for in vitro and in vivo gene delivery. ⺠Structural changes modify the physicochemical properties and transfection efficacies. ⺠The use of a trimethylarsonium group as cationic part usually decreases the toxicity and enhances transfection activities. ⺠Imidazole-based neutral lipophosphoramidates are used as helper lipid to enhance transfection activity.
