Abstract
⺠We encapsulate Trametes versicolor laccase into onion-type multilamellar liposomes. ⺠The effect of onions on stability and activity of free enzyme is studied. ⺠Laccase stability is greatly improved by onions at 25 °C and 37 °C, with NaCl or not. ⺠Laccase activity is increased by onions at 25 °C at pH = 4.5. ⺠Beneficial effects of onions are directly related to their structural integrity.
