Abstract
⺠Forced Mitf expression is sufficient to trans-activate germ genes in medaka stem cell culture. ⺠Both medaka mitf genes are expressed in male and female germ cells. ⺠Mitf is suggested as a novel transcription activator of germ genes in medaka.
