Abstract
⺠Human parvovirus B19-VP2 protein was expressed in bacteria as inclusion bodies. ⺠VP2-inclusion bodies were dissolved and refolded into virus-like particles. ⺠Refolding was systematically studied by varying pH, ionic strength and temperature. ⺠HPB19 virus-like particles can be quantitatively assembled in vitro.
