Abstract
⺠The increase of ROS induced oxidative stress and mitochondrial membrane depolarization. ⺠The dysfunction of mitochondria promotes the release of pro-apoptotic factors. ⺠Pleurocidin induces not necrosis, but apoptosis in C. albicans. ⺠Pleurocidin may affect DNA and nuclei with indirect or direct methods.
