Abstract
⺠EGCG is readily converted in a ring-fission derivative under cell culture conditions. ⺠EGCG derivative maintains biological activity. ⺠EGCG and its derivative differently inhibit proteasome activities in vitro. ⺠EGCG derivative shows EGCG-like properties, prolonging EGCG efficacy in HeLa cells.
