Abstract
Working model of the EHD1 function in CSF-1R transport to the cell surface. EHD1-dependent post-Golgi sorting of newly synthesized CSF-1R in BMDMs directs the receptor towards the cell surface and away from the lysosome. In EHD1-expressing BMDMs, the surface delivery dominates. In the absence of EHD1, the lysosomal delivery is dominant, resulting in lower surface CSF-1R and reduced CSF-1R dependent cellular activation together with increased CSF-1R delivery to the lysosome for degradation.176
