Structural diversity of the cAMP-dependent protein kinase regulatory subunit in Caenorhabditis elegans

► Transcripts encoding novel PK-A R-subunits have been identified in C. elegans. ► Novel N-terminal polypeptide sequences were detected in R-subunits from C. elegans. ► R-subunit isoforms lacking a dimerisation/docking domain may be N-myristoylated. ► R-subunits with similar structural features have now been found in other species.
