Abstract
⺠The subcellular location of PLCβ varies in an isoform-specific manner. ⺠PLCβ1 and PLCβ4 are enriched at the plasma membrane. ⺠PLCβ2 and PLCβ3 are enriched in the cytosol. ⺠Recruitment of PLCβ3 to the plasma membrane can be triggered by active Gαq. ⺠CT domains derived from the various isoforms differ in their interaction with Gαq.
