Abstract

âº Senescent cells are cell cycle arrested and they secrete inflammatory mediators. âº This condition is called the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP). âº NF-ÎºB signaling is the major inducer of cellular senescence and appearance of SASP. âº Several stress-related signaling pathways can trigger SASP via NF-ÎºB signaling. âº It seems that cellular senescence and SASP are involved in the aging process.
