Abstract
⺠Metformin repress Txnip transcription via AMPK-depedent and independent mechanisms. ⺠Metformin reduce Txnip expression by inhibiting OXPHOS and inducing glycolysis. ⺠Txnip might be a mediator for metformin's antidiabetic function.
