Abstract
⺠Ang II plays an important role in the progression of HIVAN. ⺠This effect of Ang II has been demonstrated to be mediated predominantly through AT1R. ⺠AT2R activation induces opposite action to AT1R activation. ⺠AT2R up regulation during AT1R blockade may also be slowing the progression HIVAN. ⺠The present study confirms that AT2R also modulates the progression of HIVAN.
