Abstract
► Ang II plays an important role in the progression of HIVAN. ► This effect of Ang II has been demonstrated to be mediated predominantly through AT1R. ► AT2R activation induces opposite action to AT1R activation. ► AT2R up regulation during AT1R blockade may also be slowing the progression HIVAN. ► The present study confirms that AT2R also modulates the progression of HIVAN.
