Abstract
⺠We demonstrated that CRP could promote MMP-10 expression in cardiomyocytes. ⺠We clarified that c-Raf/MEK/ERK and JAK1/ERK signaling pathways involved in CRP-induced MMP-10 expression, and ERK1/2 was the key site. ⺠In addition, we clarified that CRP-induced MMP-10 expression was regulated by binding of multiple factors, including AP-1 and STAT3, to their response elements in cardiomyocytes. ⺠Our findings suggest that CRP act as a predictor for left ventricular remodeling might be associated with its promotion effect on MMP-10 expression.
