Abstract
⺠We evaluate the intracellular Zinc concentrations and Zinc Transporter expression in RPMCs. ⺠We found that ZnT7 mRNA was strongly induced by HG. ⺠Overexpression of ZnT7 results in a decrease of apoptosis in the presence of HG. ⺠Knockdown of ZnT7 promotes the apoptosis of cells in the presence of HG. ⺠ZnT7 inhibits the apoptosis by activation of PI3K/Akt pathway.
