Abstract
⺠SHIP1 mutations occur at a low frequency (3.1%) in acute myeloid leukemia patients. ⺠Identification of two new SHIP1 mutations i.e. T162P and R225W in 3 AML patients ⺠4 out of 13 leukemia-associated SHIP1 mutants have lost a signaling function. ⺠The results further support a tumor suppressor function of SHIP1 in leukemogensis.
