Abstract
⺠Proline-rich Akt substrate of 40 kDa (PRAS40) is a new substrate of Akt pathway. ⺠PRAS40 interacts with mTORC1 as both a substrate and an inhibitor of mTORC1. ⺠Phosphorylation of PRAS40 by Akt or mTORC1 raises the activity of mTORC1. ⺠This review summarizes the regulation/effects of PRAS40 relating to Akt/mTORC1.
