Abstract
⺠Acute exposure of myotubes to insulin activates CaMKII. ⺠CaMKII activation is required for insulin-dependent glucose uptake. ⺠AS160 phosphorylation in response to insulin is mediated via the autoregulatory domain of CaMKII.
