Abstract
► This study describes the positive role of Gas1 in myogenic differentiation. ► It was expressed in developing hindlimb muscles and up-regulated in myogenesis. ► We uncovered Gas1 promoted myogenesis via cell cycle arrest by inhibiting Cdk2. ► Additionally, Gas1 enhanced p38MAPK activation in a cooperative manner with Cdo.
