Abstract
►Ezrin/radixin/moesin (ERM) proteins mediate endothelial barrier enhancement by S1P. ►S1P stimulates ERM phosphorylation on a regulatory threonine residue. ►This phosphorylation is dependent on several PKC isoforms, p38, and Rac. ►ERM proteins differentially regulate endothelial cytoskeletal structure after S1P. ►Radixin promotes S1P barrier effects while moesin inhibits them.
