Abstract
⺠PprA is a deinococaccae specific protein highly linked to the radioresistance. ⺠ÎpprA mutant is very sensitive to γ-rays though showing an efficient DNA DSBs repair. ⺠We show that PprA does not play a major role in a RecA-independent pathway. ⺠After irradiation, PprA localizes as a thread across the septum in dividing cells. ⺠PprA is required for DNA segregation between daughter cells after γ-irradiation.
