Abstract
⺠Expression of C. elegans APN-1 in yeast requires a nuclear localization signal. ⺠We purified APN-1 and show that it has four DNA repair activities. ⺠APN-1 is distinct from the previously characterized DNA repair enzyme EXO-3. ⺠APN-1 has unique roles in DNA repair. ⺠APN-1 repairs a broader range of base lesions as compared to other members.
