Abstract
- OGG1 has been implicated in trinucleotide repeat expansion.
- The activity of OGG1 is not influenced by DNA sequence context.
- DNA structure does modulate activity of OGG1.
- This structure-dependent activity can lead to an accumulation of DNA damage in trinucleotide repeat sequences.
