Abstract
⺠Detailed mapping of VEGFR-3 mRNA expression using in situ hybridization. ⺠Specific but widespread distribution of VEGFR-3 mRNA in the adult rat CNS. ⺠Functionally diverse nuclei in the brainstem and spinal cord show hybridization signals. ⺠Neurosecretory hypothalamic neurons and tanycytes are intensely labeled. ⺠Circumventricular organs such as the median eminence and area postrema are labeled.
