Abstract
⺠Description of main volumetric methods for measuring the size of proteins and DNA. ⺠Use of DNA as a fiducial marker minimizes the contribution of tip-induced artifacts. ⺠The length of ssDNA molecules is accurately related to their AFM volume. ⺠A linear relationship between length and volume was obtained for ssDNA.
